MAKING YOUR OWN KEFIR? GOOD FOR YOU!

Kef-what? Kefir. It’s the fermented drink that’s all the rage. Not surprising, either. The texture is satisfyingly thick and smooth. As for the taste…it will grow on you. Honestly!

Step by Step (tick the boxes as you go)
  • 1 Place the kefir grains and 4 cups of milk in your sterilized glass jar.
  • 2 Cover with the filter and the band.
  • 3 Leave in a warm place for 24 hours.
  • 4 Sieve.
  • 5 Store the milk kefir in the fridge.
  • 6 Use the grains from the sieve to start a new batch.
  • 7 Top tip: Try a Kefir Berry Smoothie – just add blueberries, banana and a drop of maple syrup, and give it a moment it the blender.
